Social security

Ok I messed up my previous post. Sorry I am not good at this. I worked in pharmacy for 20 years. I was diagnosed w RRMS in 1998. I continued to work until “I lost my brain” I was still “young” and felt like I did not want to take advantage of the system, like I had seen so many times working in the pharmacy. I had paid my taxes including social security all those years. My MS continued to get worse .
I have applied for social security disability. I have been denied 3 times. I was basically told by my judge I could still work?
I have a laundry list of reasons I can not.
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it

  1. I am sorry you are in this position, !

I am going to ask some questions that may be redundant and you do not have to answer them, it's more just a "let's make sure we covered all our bases" kind of thing.

Do you have medical records showing your deterioration and has your doctor made note of your inability to work at your chosen profession?

Have you used a disability lawyer? It may be worth the cost to finally get that approval. Many of our members were initially denied disability, but found they were able to appeal the decision and get approved, so I wouldn't give up!

Here's some information from our sister site dedicated to RA on the SSDI denial process -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/appeal-ssdi-denial. Some of the figures may be a little out of date (the article is originally from 2014), but most of the data should still be accurate.

I hope you know you are not alone in this and I hope the fourth time is a charm for you!

    Best, Erin, Team Member.

    1. Thank you so much Erin! It makes me terribly sad to know that so many people are going through or have gone through this in someways degrading process. I worked until it was not safe to work because I did not want to take advantage of the system and then I am told I can go to work. I sure wish I could. I loved working pharmacy. No where for a jumbled brain there.
I think something should be done for all of us who got robbed of the things we used to be
