Staring treatment

Hi, first time on here. I got diagnosed about a year ago and starting treatment on the 1st November which will be ocrelizumab. I was just wondering if anyone has had this treatment and how it makes you feel after. I work and im booked into work the day after my treatment so just wondering if i need to book time off or if i will be ok to still work?
Thankyou

  1. There is no clear answer on that, I had the infusion, I had absolutely no clue it wasn't saline after it was done, but maybe I was lucky. Everyone has different experiences with that,

    1. Hi, !

I know starting a new treatment can be a little scary, but I hope ocrelizumab is a good fit for you, with minimal side effects. Some people don't experience noticeable side effects after an infusion, but some people do and it can be hard to predict which experience you will have. Here's some basic information on ocrelizumab -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/treatment/ocrevus-how-well-works-side-effects. Also, here's a conversation from our forums on the topic of ocrelizumab that you might find helpful -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/forums/ocrevus-ocrelizumab-iv-infusion. I hope the infusion goes well and that you are able to work the next day with no problems.

Please keep us posted, if you feel comfortable doing so. Good luck!

      1. 4 years after being diagnosed and only using ocrevus-I think the worst thing when I started was the amount of time it took. No side effects at all and now infusion takes less than 2 hours.
Walking gets worse every time I get the least bit sick. Too stubborn to use cane but now have the Bioness leg sleeve which helps with drop foot and even tiredness.

        1. ,
          That's good to hear.
Thanks so much for chiming in and sharing your experience.
