  1. you aren't alone. But I'm not going to tell you symptoms to look for. Just feel our support for you.

Take the time to really consider what you are feeling, and write a list. Trust your gut, advocate for yourself.

You've got this. Update after your appointment if you are comfortable.

    Much love 💜💜

    1. that such great advice. It's important to listen to our body and let it be the guide.

  2. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, ! We welcome them! though we can't provide medical advice or diagnoses, we're happy to help in any way we can.

As far as symptoms go, well, there's a ood reason MS is often called a 'snowflake' disease -- it can present uniquely in each individual and symptoms can vary widely.

I think the best thing you can do is go into that appointment ready to discuss your concerns. I highly recommend writing down all your questions and the symptoms you are experiencing. I always think I will remember everything before I go into an appointment, but if I don't have things written down, I invariably forget something.

So, you can talk to your doctor about ruling out conditions that share symptoms with MS. You can read more about them here -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/diagnosis/ruling-out-other-health-conditions. And, testing can help rule those out.

Speaking of testing, here's information about the tests doctors frequently use to reach a diagnosis of MS (or rule it out) -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/diagnosis/tools-your-doctor-will-use-to-make-a-diagnosis. Don't be afraid to push your doctors if you feel like they aren't listening to you.

Also, here's some basic information on MS symptoms, but please keep in mind that this list isn't comprehensive -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/symptoms. Please keep us posted on how that initial appointment goes, if you feel comfortable doing so.

    1. it can be such a challenging road to get an accurate diagnosis. As I'm sure you've seen from your Father's journey with MS, the symptoms can be so vague, unpredictable and different from person to person. Here's an article that you might find helpful that speaks to more of the symptoms.

Hope all goes well with your appointment. Keep us posted on how it goes, if you feel comfortable do so.

      1. to add to my original reply, it can feel overwhelming trying to describe the changes you have noticed. And there could be symptoms that you wouldn't associate with the nervous system. But your nervous system controls everything about your body. So just really listen to what your body is telling you.

And write it all down. Don't exclude anything. It may or may not be related, but it's better to have it all there.

Wishing you all the best! 💜
