walking on air

Has anyone felt like you are walking on clouds or air. That's the only way I know how to describe it. its like I have to think very hard to 'feel' my feet- so its as if they are bouncing around on air & I am just hoping they are hitting the ground when they are supposed to. It is rather unnerving. When my left leg first starting going 'numb' a few years ago- I didn't have this problem, but in the past 6 mths the numbness has increased and thus the feeling as though there is no foot at the end of my leg-- or as I mentioned earlier-- I'm just floating. If a wall is nearby I like holding on- or a railing- because then I know I will be alright. Would appreciate anyone else who has experienced this, if you could describe what you feel.

  1. Hi, ! I don't have personal experience with the sensations you described, but I do hope you get some feedback from other community members that may have similar issues. MS definitely keeps a person guessing, doesn't it?

And, if you haven't done so already, it's a good idea to let your physician know what you are experiencing, just to be safe.

    1. Thank you Erin. Yes, the neurologist is aware of my left foot being almost 'non' existent 😀 (as far as feeling)-- OR the opposite where it feels like it is a 100 pound ball I'm trying to drag along- ha ha!
