Living with MS

Living with MS is life changing. From the onset when symptoms start showing. You have balance issues, seem lie you are drunk. You may star dragging your foot as you walk. Then fatigue comes out of no where. Spasticity gives a introduction along with sensitivity to weather. But doctor says no cure. How then was a cure found to make AIDS undetectable suddenly? MS, cancer, & others have populated society far longer than AIDS. Is doc prejudice for fear of losing income? Can light be shed on this? I am just asking

In HIS service,
Pastor Adriel Harris

  1. Hi Pastor Adriel Harris (). You are not alone in your feelings. It's frustrating and deflating to see medications developed so quickly for such diseases as AIDS and Covid while still contending with the progression and worsening symptoms of MS. The key to fighting those other diseases, however, was finding the cause. AIDs and Covid are both caused by viruses. We know that and we have a pretty good idea how viruses behave. So learning to control them simply involved gathering more specific information about the behavior of those viruses. Neither has been cured, but we have figured out ways to deprived them of the conditions they need to thrive within us. Scientists still have no idea what causes MS despite decades of research. Without a cause, they can't find a cure. But Many, many, many groups of researchers around the globe are trying. Here is an article from one of our advocates about the latest MS research: https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/research-horizon. I hope this gives you some hope. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
