MS meds can affect your sight

I was on Amantadine for MS fatique and it destroyed my corneas which required bilateral cornea transplants. There was no warning of Amantadine possibly harming the corneas. Surgery did not correct my condition completely. Before surgery I had very bad blurred vision. Just be careful with MS meds

  1. Thank you for sharing this, . I am so sorry you experienced this somewhat rare potential side effect of Amantadine. Vision issues are listed as a potential side effect now, but they definitely may not have been when you started taking the medication. I am so sorry you had to go through all that.

I know you said that surgery didn't fully correct your condition, but is your vision a bit better since the surgery?

Again, thank you for sharing this. MS medications can come with some pretty hefty possible side effects and it's always good to go into any new treatment protcol informed and educated as much as possible. I am sorry that information was not available to you at the time you started Amantadine.

    1. Vision issues is a broad statement. It would be nice if they listed the issues.

      1. , that's a REALLY great point! "Vision issues" is such a vague description!
