Sleep Fatigue and Weakness

Does anyone wake up from a short nap or after sleeping at night and find that you have more weakness, fatigue, or numbness than when you first went to sleep?

  1. I wondered the same thing. It happens to me every time. Also depending how long I've been sitting I stand up and have jello for legs.
I'm hoping the more I go for walks (even if it's 5 minutes) the better it will get. I hope! 🥰

    1. often I will wake up in the early morning to go to the restroom, like 3 or 4 am and my hand is so weak it is difficult to close. Then after waking up and moving it improves.

  2. and , I know you are not the only two experiencing what I sometimes refer to as a "nap hangover". I know that's not exactly the right term, but it kind of fits in this case. Like, you wake up LESS rested after a short nap and what's up with that?

I do hope you get some more community feedback, as I know you are not the only two experiencing this issue.

    1. I've noticed that. From what I've read it's sometimes a first symptom. For me it was one of my last symptoms a few weeks back.
For those who have been trying to walk on jello legs for a long while I'm very sorry. Is there anything that helps? ❤️ Thanks.

      1. Hi . I have no experience with leg weakness, but I thought you might find this article from one of our advocates helpful: https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/leg-weakness. I hope this helps. Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)
