Any advice on losing weight and building muscle?

So I've changed my eating habits in March of this year and I've lost nearly 90lbs without going to the gym. I'm not looking very good physically and need to build some muscle to get some strength back. I do have extra fatigue from MS. I'm somewhat scared of working out to build muscle, worrying about the "ms tax" backlash from working hard. Any advice on how to proceed safely?

  1. Thanks for this great question! Fear of the MS Tax can definitely prevent some from wanting to work out and build muscle. One of our contributors Calie wrote about building strength in her legs to prevent leg weakness. I wanted to share her article with you for some tips to exercising and gaining strength without inviting extra fatigue. I hope they help in some way! https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/leg-weakness/
