Popular forums through the years
New to This
Excerpt: I just received my ms diagnosis today. Tomorrow my dr and I are going to talk about where we go from here. I feel glad my symptoms have a name. . . . I guess Im happy to find this forum. Hoping anyone has any advice to navigating this in the beginning that you wish someone had told you?
Weird MS Symptoms
Have you ever experienced what you thought was a "weird" symptom and wondered if others with MS have experienced it too? Share your "weird" symptom here and see if others have.
Crawling Sensation on Scalp
Excerpt: I also have this intense crawling sensation on my scalp, like an electrical current rippling over my head, mostly from the back towards the front. I would be happy to hear if anyone else in here recognizes this since I'm wondering if it is one of those odd symptoms which aren't on the official list but are common among patients anyway.
The Dreaded Normal MRI Results
Excerpt: I just dunno where to go from here, and I feel like a hypochondriac talking to most everyone else. The neurologist who found the first lesion is no longer in practice anymore, so it makes things harder surrounding the elusive "small, nonspecific lesion" that no one else seems to find. I think I'm just in need of moral support right now from those that understand, because I'm feeling so defeated and have no idea what direction to take from here.

Every MS Superhero Needs a Sidekick
We want to know about your sidekick. Are they your best friend, your doctor, family member, or a pet? Share here what makes them the perfect sidekick to you. Feel free to include pictures as well!
What Were Your Initial Symptoms?
Excerpt: MS is so different from person to person, I always find it interesting to hear what people's first symptoms were. . . . What was your first indication that something wasn't right? What happened that began this MS journey for you, that made you see a doctor?
Applying for Disability
Have you applied for disability? What was the process like for you? What should others know about this process that could help them be successful?
Loss of Emotions
Excerpt: I haven’t been able to find this as a potential symptom of MS except as it relates to depression. But I am NOT depressed, I am content and happy in general. But I do not feel much. I have a very stunted ability to feel anger, pain, fear, excitement, love, hurt, desire, etc. No strong emotions anymore. Anything I may feel is very minimal. I’m emotionally flat. Can that be a symptom of MS?
Excerpt: We know that many people have the best intentions when it comes to handing out advice or anecdotes. Many just want to offer help, kindness, or just try to uplift those with MS. Sometimes, these well-intentioned pieces of advice fall flat and become unhelpful or even hurtful. What's been a piece of unsolicited advice about MS that you've received?
Would it have been helpful to hear from others and their experiences when you were beginning your MS journey?
