First flare since diagnosis four years ago

I have received IVIG and Three rounds of Solu-Medrol infusions since October. This flare is terrible. I cannot use my right hand at all. And my lower left leg is also very numb and I am walking with a cane. It started gradually with numbness in my fingertips and my right hand in mid August. I went into the hospital in mid-November to receive
IVIG and steroids. After that stay, I gradually lost function of my hand. I think all of it is just the progression of flare. I have been on Tysabri since January 2018 and I have a few new active lesions on my brain. I don't feel like I'm getting any relief and I guess the flare just has to take its course. I am going to be evaluated at the end of February at the MS Center to see if we will change my medication. I hope my diagnosis does not change as this is my first flare in four years. I am praying these symptoms reverse. I am not driving right now and I live alone. I am doing my best. I will start physical therapy in outpatient therapy as well. I am determined to beat this.

  1. Wow so sorry. I hope you find meds that help. Sounds like you've been on several different ones. I pray your relapse ends soon.❤

    1. , ugh! I am so sorry you are dealing with a flare! It sounds like you are doing everything you can and the flare just keeps fighting back. I do hope it ends before your appointment in February. I do hope your diagnosis hasn't changed as well.

I hope the physical therapy helps with the issues with your hand and leg. Hang in there! You are working so hard to beat this and I hope your hard work and determination pays off!
