Has anyone else had this happen after an attack? I used to have the prettiest handwriting- printing and cursive. After my 2nd attack in august of 2005 (which was misdiagnosed as a stroke), my writing was affected, only because at that time my right side was numb. After a year and a half of being given blood thinners for the 'strokes', I suffered a month long progressive attack that made me lose all abilities- i was finally given cythoxan to kill my immune system and stop the attack. After relearning everything- literally- 3 times, my writing was now scribbles and it actually hurt to try to write neatly. 2 years ago, a change in meds (mayvent to copaxone), my first attack in many years was triggered (i was spms for a long time). Since then, i cannot write at all. I use stencils, which are frustrating. But i find myself embarassed to have to explain to people why i can't fill out the forms at an office visit, for example. Just wondering if this has happened to others, as well as inquiring for advice or suggestions coping with it. I've already been through 2 rounds of pt and about to start another. Thanks!
