Trying to hang on

Been out of work since end of March applied for disability per Dr recommended job said I old use my short term disability thru them but it's one thing after another on that also said I'd get paid out my sick time nothing applied for help thru dhhs benefits they've done 3 interviews countless paperwork because they lose my stuff in one interview they told me a total of 9 times I was disabled like having to call them wasn't humiliating enough. Every resource I've called given to me by 211 is out of funding, now I feel like I'm bout lose all I've worked my whole life for and starting to find it hard to get up in the mornings

  1. My heart goes out to you, . It is a scary situation to be without income. Have you considered hiring a lawyer who specializes in disability claims? Many will work for part of the settlement so you don't have to pay up front. A letter from a lawyer might also be enough to make your employer get its act together and give you the sick day pay you need and deserve. Another option is the Navigator service of the National MS Society. They have experts on hand who can help you with most anything, including financial issues. Here is a link: https://www.nationalmssociety.org/Resources-Support/Find-Support/Ask-an-MS-Navigator. I hope this helps and that you get the assistance you need and deserve. Sending the best of all wishes your way. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. I am so sorry, . I know the strain of all this can be overwhelming and exhausting. Lori had some good suggestions and I hope you can finally start seeing some traction and movement on this issue.
