  1. "We now enter 2021(How did that happen ?) and medical s staff are still very ignorant about MS."

    1. That's just downright frustrating, @pippa! You think by now that most medical staff would be at least somewhat knowledgeable about MS. I am sorry that hasn't been your experience. Want to share more about it or were you just needing to vent a little and now you're good? Best, Erin, MultipleSclerosis.net Team Member.

  2. "Can MS be hereditory? My daughter (50) is having re-occurring nunbness in her face and tongue also bad vertigo... I don't want to scare her but suggested seeing Neuro and doing an MRI."

    1. Hi, @pippa! That's a great question. There does appear to be a possible genetic component to some cases of MS. There are still studies being done on this topic. Here's one person's thoughts on MS and genetics -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/heredity-genetics-family/. Check out the many community member comments at the end of the article as well. Physicians don't really tend to say that MS is hereditary, but they will say that there sometimes appears to be a genetic link in some situations. I know this may seem like splitting hairs, but there are reasons (beyond my understanding) why they make that clarification. I do hope your daughter is able to get a diagnosis soon and I hope that diagnosis is not too serious and that it's highly treatable! Best, Erin, MultipleSclerosis.net Team Member.

  3. "Feeling pretty fed up and isolated."

    1. Hi @pippa. I wish you were not feeling so isolated, but I am glad you have this community to turn to for support. Is the pandemic keeping you home or are friends and family scarce these days? Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Hugs! - Lori (Team Member)
