Diagnosis of RRMS in 2014

So it all started in the summer of 2014 when I fell sick with a fever, which lasted for 4 days. I had a throat infection as well and was coughing my lungs out. My doctor ordered an MRI just to check for any abnormalities. The week went by, and I still didn't feel good, this time accompanied by a fever. I started walking as though I was drunk.

I finally called my doctor

So, upon calling him as to what the results were for the MRI, the doctor came on the line and said, 'Just come on in tomorrow and make sure you get someone else, like a family member, to come.' His saying that did scare me quite a bit, and my first thought was do I have cancer or something that's going to change my life in a drastic way? I visited him and he said it's going to be ok, and you have Multiple Sclerosis. While my mom was sitting there crying, I started laughing and said, "Umm, so what's MS?" My doctor said I needed to get into the ER, so which being the stubborn brat I am, I drove myself to.

My stay at the hospital

The nurses and doctors loaded me up with a heavy dose of corticosteroids to suppress the inflammation. The steroids made me eat as though I hadn't eaten food in months, oh, and I was charged up and wouldn't shut up. It probably looked like I was hitting on the nurses, but I blame the medicines. My assigned nurse was the sweetest ever. I had to take a strong sleeping pill just to calm down and sleep.
