Allodynia…suffering
Anyone else suffer with allodynia (hyper-reactive pain resulting from light touch or other sensation like a light breeze)? Right now my forearms and upper arms feel like I have a very very bad sunburn anytime they touch anything, lean against something, brush against the fabric of my shirt or when exposed to a breeze or sunshine). It’s so frustrating and exhausting.
I'm sorry you suffer from this also.
I have complex pain syndrome with ALLODYNIA in,on my entire right side only (from the waist down) and my foot. It feels like I'm literally wearing an electric thigh boot with a sea urchin sole. It hurts to wear clothes and shoes. It hurts to shower. It hurts to sleep on the sheets. I'm tired of it.Oh yeah!! Wrinkles in sheets feel like a knife edge slicing into me. I have sleep on and under blankets that feel like fake fur. Nice and soft and warm (sometimes too hot).
I also experience frequent MS Hugs that make it hard to breathe and a deep burning abdominal pain under and below my right rib that sometimes causes seasick-like nausea.
Today was one of the most challenging type of MS days because the symptoms all layered on top of each other and that caused fatigue and “cog fog” to be really bad. I didn’t get out of bed until 2:30 this afternoon. It took me the next 1.5 hours to shower and get dressed. I kept forgetting things (that happens when I don’t do things in order!).
