Diagnoses

What would you do if you were diagnosed with RRMS at age 32 now 54 neurologist that specialized in MS passed away after treating you for 20 1/2 yrs symptom where related to ms.
Now new MS specialist , says my symptoms match up with lesions I have but not sure if it’s ms,?,, because after repeated testing and having to see specialist for each problem despite lesions in pons ( large lesion)and brain
( some nonspecific, some near center )(
Lesion on spinal cord that I had at the beginning has faded away ,(at least that is what my neurologist of 30yrs that passed away said) , had also optic neuritis severe twice

  1. Wow... That sounds incredibly frustrating and overwhelming. And Losing a neurologist who knew your history inside and out has to make everything feel even more confusing and unsettling. It might be worth getting another MS specialist to take a fresh look at all of your history and scans, just so you can feel more confident about what’s really going on. You can also ask the new neurologist to review all past MRIs and clinical notes, not just recent scans. It may help to tell the whole story. I know this process seems like a lot, but I'm positive clarity and real solutions will come for you. All the best, Latoya (Team Member)
