Need advice.

I don't have ms but my roommate does and for the last week she went from no real issues to her legs being limp to getting what she says feels like getting shocked all over her body and now her mouth and throat are starting to get numb and i just noticed her pupils are very small, im not familiar with ms at all but im stepping up to be her caregiver because her family is in another state and she is alone here in fla, as am i so trying to find out how to best take care of her because she has gone from walking to me having to pick her up and carry her to go to the bathroom, so any advice, tips or where i can go to find some help and resources, thank you so much...

  1. Sounds like it could be a relapse. My neurologist said to go to the emergency room if I thought I was relapsing.

    1. I'm sorry to hear that your roommate is struggling with these symptoms. That's really thoughtful and caring of you to be such a great support during this time for her . We unfortunately can't give medical advice on this site here, but it certainly sounds like it would be important to connect with her neurologist or MS specialist about the changes in her symptoms. If she doesn't have a neurologist or MS specialist that follows her care, I would reach out to her primary care doctor. Getting an evaluation by a trained physician is important anytime there's a noticeable change in symptoms.
