Radiation Fatigue

I had a lumpectomy recently. The oncologist would like me to start radiation or a hormone blocker, aromatase or tamoxifen. All cause additional fatigue. My MS is 2ndary progressive. I’m 66. I’d love to hear from people in the community who have had experienced the additive effects of MS fatigue & fatigue from cancer treatment.,

  1. Hi, !

I'm sorry I can't offer any personal input on this topic. I know the links I'm sharing might not be exactly what you're looking for, but I wanted to share what information I could dig up on the topic of MS and cancer treatments. Here's one conversation from our forums -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/how-i-manage-cold-weather-symptoms. Also, these are some older conversations I found on a different MS forum, so the information shared may be dated, but I thought you might find some of the comments helpful -- https://forum.mssociety.org.uk/t/ms-and-breast-cancer/80384/4. I know potentially facing even more fatigue from treatment is, well, discouraging, to say the least. I do hope that someone here can relate or that either of the links I provided at least give you some new paths to check out in regards to finding people who might understand what you are going through.

    Best, Erin, Team Member.
