Very late onset MS

Many years ago I suffered with BPPV. This lasted a long time. On Christmas Day 2024, I became very ill with severe vertigo, vomiting and slurred speech. Hospital said suspected TIA. After many vertigo episodes, plus tinnitus, I visited ENT who diagnosed Menieres Disease. I’ve taken betahistine which stopped the vertigo. However, I’m now suffering arm skin rashes plus the feeling of things crawling
On my scalp and face. I have the sensation of warm water running down my legs (which I first experienced years ago). I’m becoming doubly incontinent and my balance is off. My hearing is also bad, and finally, if I stretch out in bed, I occasionally feel paralysed for several seconds. I’m 63 and very worried. Any advice much appreciated.

  1. Hi that is a lot to have to manage. Is your doctor trying to help you? Are you currently in any treatments? Jill (Team Member)

    1. That's good that your seeing your doctor next week. I'm not sure if you have done this already, but it might be helpful to ask for a comprehensive neurological evaluation if you haven’t already. Here's a link on what that consist of- https://multiplesclerosis.net/diagnosis/neurological-exam. If you're open to it, we'd love to get an update on how your doctors visit go.
