What are some resources for getting information for getting a good case worker

Does anyone have a special non family or friend member that helps you get to your appts and help with various things ?

Thanks

  1. I wish! Sadly, I am traveling this journey with my SD as my go-to and no real human support system

    1. depending on what country you are in, and what insurance you have, you could potentially qualify for free case management. Also depending on age and location, you could qualify for free transportation. Without knowing your circumstances, I'll say that anyone in the US who has disability also is entitled to case management and transportation covered. Also anyone on retirement is entitled to the same. If you're in the US, I encourage you to speak with your local social security office.

I hope you are able to find what you need, and I give you so much love and respect 💜💜

      1. Mine are through my state's department of human services and vocational rehabilitation. My case worker helped me get 3 months of Medicaid and a homemaker twenty hours a week with no charge. I feel we should automatically be assigned case workers at diagnosis. It's challenging for us and our loved ones to manage.
