WHAT DO YOU USE TO WALK AND GET AROUND

I am thinking ahead and got wheelie roller a quad cane and two nice, varnished sticks the wood and height boosted my confidence bought for 10 dollars at Ocean Lots what about you?

  1. HI great question, I hope our community comes back with what helps them. In the meantime, I am sending over this article with the different types of assistive technologies and tips to paying for them: https://multiplesclerosis.net/treatment/devices-software-other-tools. I hope this is helpful. Jill (Team Member)

  2. Well, I have to admit to being at the mercy of multiple devices, and though I rebelled in the beginning I came to the realization it was not negotiable. So I accepted the use of a cane. I bought every color and pattern and they became really nice accessories to everything I wore. Then came the walker. Now if I leave the house I am at the mercy of a wheelchair. I have the added benefit of being able to wear any style of shoes. I get to travel in style. ... and yes it makes a difference in my attitude. For my daughter's wedding I totally rocked my chair... with a pair of baby blue stilettos.

    1. , I hadn't even thought about the shoes perk! Thanks for mentioning this. For the shoe lovers who have had to give up their stylish shoes for the sake of safety and balance, knowing that they may be able to slip on a pair of high heels again if they use a wheelchair may be a bit of a silver lining!

I bet you looked fabulous at your daughter's wedding.
