MSAA’s MS Awareness Month Resources Now Archived on MyMSAA.org

As MS Awareness Month 2019 comes to an end, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is proud to share the new resources on our website for members of the MS community. Activities during MSAA’s busy March centered around two key aspects that impact families living with MS: Relationships and Care Partner Needs. Resources include:
Relationships and MS
- MSAA’s free live webinar, “Intimacy and Family Planning with MS” was held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 8:00 – 9:00 pm Eastern and featured Kimberly Castelo, LMFT, CST, CIIP.
- MSAA and Kimberly Castelo, LMFT, CST, CIIP held a live “Ask Me Anything” event with a special focus on relationships and MS on Tuesday, March 12, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm Eastern. This online event was hosted on My MSAA Community, MSAA’s peer-to-peer forum.
- Listen to MSAA’s podcast, featuring psychologist, social worker, certified guided imagery practitioner, and multiple sclerosis specialist Miriam Franco, MSW, PsyD, MSCS discussing Relationships and MS.
Spotlighting care partner needs
- MSAA’s free live webinar, “The Partnership of Care” was held on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 8:00 – 9:00 pm Eastern and featured MS nurse practitioner Megan Weigel, DNP, ARNP-c, MSCN.
- MSAA and licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and wellness educator Lara Krawchuk, MSW, LCSW, MPH held a live “Ask Me Anything” event with a special focus on care partner needs on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm Eastern. This online event was hosted on My MSAA Community, MSAA’s peer-to-peer forum.
