Easy grip drinking glasses

How many of you in the MS family has arm or leg twitching? I have twitches in my arms and legs. I'm not talking trembling, but out of control twitches! The other night I had a glass of V8. My grip on the glass was fine so no problem there. What I wasn't thinking about was twitches! I sat on the couch in the living room, started to raise my glass to drink, when my arm twitched violently. So badly in fact, that my drink ended up on the rug and table in front of me, over the table and landed on a table lamp 5 ft. away and a love seat past that. What I didn't notice at first were the 5 or 6 spots on the ceiling.
So I started searching for the perfect glass. After many trials and errors, I found one. It's technically a glass to blend smoothies in but I modified it. The metal "wisk" inside comes out, now the glass is exactly what you want. The brand I have is called "Blender Bottle". It will hold an entire bottle of Pepsi from a six pack. And here's the BEST part: the top screws on and the hole to drink out of is large enough to gulp from. PLUS the top to cover the drinking hole actually screws on but never disconnects for the bottle! They have them on Amazon and they're only $11.99 for 28 oz. bottle. Just search Blender Bottles and it will show you sizes and colors. I bought the Sport Grip because it has a rubber place to hold it. They are not insulated, but if they land on the floor, they CAN'T pop open. If your in need like I was, take a look.

  1. What a great hack, ! Thanks for sharing this. Have you talked with your doctor about your twitching? Here is an article from one of our advocates about his experience with them: https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/tremors-spasms. I thought it might make you feel a little less alone. Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Lori. I read Matt's article and l can relate to some of it. If it continues and becomes more frequent, I'll talk to my doctor about it. I'm just on SOOO many meds for other things too, I hate the thought of more pills! But like the MS soldiers we are, I will march forward and do my best to keep it at bay,

      1. That is understandable, . I hope you are able to tolerate it without meds and that is one of those symptoms that lessens over time. - Lori (Team Member)
