Why don't we have a vaccine for EBV by now, it would save millions of others from going through this pain

that is a great question. I know that this has been challenging because the virus goes into the body for life and is associated with several cancers and autoimmune conditions. Clinical trials are actively underway. That's a really good question and one I don't have a great answer for,
. I think your question brings up a very valid point about finding cures and/or vaccinations for viruses like EBV.
