Dizziness, balance difficulties, and unsteadiness can be challenging symptoms for people living with MS. I’ve been learning more about how vestibular function is evaluated when someone experiences ongoing dizziness or balance-related problems.
One test I came across is VNG (Videonystagmography), which uses eye-movement recordings to help evaluate the vestibular and balance system. I’m interested in hearing from others who have experienced vestibular testing as part of their evaluation.
For those living with MS:
Have you ever had VNG or another vestibular test?
Was dizziness or balance difficulty the reason your healthcare provider recommended testing?
Did the testing help your healthcare team better understand your symptoms?
What was your experience with the testing process?
I’d appreciate hearing about other people's experiences with vestibular testing and how it fit into their overall MS care.
