Lower leg spasms at night

I get leg spasms, like a lot of you do, but most of mine happen at night or should I say, early in the morning. They usually happen in the around the ankle area or front shin area. Sometimes, the spasms thinks its funny and moves up and down my leg. I usually go stand on the cold bathroom floor for a minute or so, which helps with the spasm, but then, of course, I have to go to the bathroom, because, I was standing on the cold bathroom floor! Then I go back to bed, just to have it happen again in an hour or so.

  1. Hi that sounds really disruptive for your sleep. I imagine it is hard for you to feel rested. I am sending over this article that has some tips, I really hope this can help you: https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/nocturnal-leg-cramps-can-ruin-sleep. Jill (Team Member)

    1. Thanks! I do most of those already except the stretching, which I will start doing tonight! It drives me crazy! I sit most of the day as a Paralegal
