Question about eye issues

Good morning, I was going over symptoms with my husband last night and one caught my eye (pun intended) 😀 Last year sometime for a week or so when I woke up in the morning it was extremely painful to open my eyes. It felt like I was tearing my eyelid off my eyeball. It only lasted about a week. Have any of you had this happen to you? Thank you.

  1. Ouch! Goodness, that sounds like it was painful to experience! I haven't seen anyone else mention this specifically but I have heard so many other eye issues that people have experienced because of nerve issues (their eyelids drooping, unable to open one, twitching, etc.). I'm going to include a few links to some areas you might want to share this in to get more responses from the community:

If I may ask, have you mentioned this to your doctor? I'd be curious to hear what they have to say about it. Did you find anything that seemed to help reduce the pain when this happened? 🧡 Kayleigh, MultipleSclerosis.net team

    1. Hi and thanks. I have an appointment with my Doc on 21 June and it will be my first one talking about the over 20 symptoms I have been experiencing over the last year on and off. This particular one only happened once that I can remember. Once it subsided I never really thought anything of it. Thought it might just be dry eyes or something. I will post it in those areas. Thank you.

      1. we're glad to hear that you have an appointment on the calendar and that it's not too far away. We hope that the appointment brings you the answers and relief that you're seeking. In the meantime, hopefully you can check out some of the articles that Kayleigh shared. Yes, please keep us posted as you feel comfortable doing.
