Stem cell treatment

Hi . We have an advocate who has recently undergone autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (aHSCT) and has been chronicling her journey for us. As I am sure you know, it is not an approved treatment in the United States and there are no guarantees that it will help with MS. It also will not cure you of any past progression. If it is effective, it will simply prevent your from progressive further. So, if you decide to go ahead, you will have to pay for the full procedure and travel outside the country. We have seen mixed results in this community. Some people how found it beneficial while others have seen no impact. We have not had input from members about the long-term impact. I am not sure that it has been an accessible treatment long enough to see long-term results.
