Gold Nanocrystal Remyelination (Clene Nanomedicine REPAIR-MS) Phase 2 Clinical Trial Update - Five months after last dose

Below is an update since my last posting on October 23 which can be found here:

So far, so good. I continue to experience some of the MS symptom improvement benefits since I stopped taking the Clene Nanomedicine CNM-AU8 REPAIR-MS trial five months ago. I believe that several of my brain lesions experienced some level of remyelination while I was taking the drug. As previously stated, I experience zero negative side effects. continue to take my DMT Zeposia. I also take Ampyra, and occasionally Baclofen. My prescription for Baclofen (muscle relaxer) ran out and I didn’t notice any difference in my gait or other stiffness issues. I refilled it and plan to take it as needed – like after a long walk or strenuous exercise.

Since it’s the holiday season, I thought I’d provide an update on how thankful I am for my awesome trial experience. I am seriously thankful for the following:
1. No longer experiencing significant cognitive issues. Still feel mentally sharper and more productive than before I took the drug.
2. Energy levels are higher and I’m able to do more with my family. Not afraid of longer walks and helping coach my son’s baseball team.
3. Highest level of optimism since I was diagnosed with MS seven years ago! I no longer think that I’ll end up using a walker or wheelchair someday.
4. Appreciate the Clene Nano researchers/management and the clinical trial team at UT Southwestern. Great job!

My #1 X-mass gift request is a long-term supply of the Clene drug so I can get back to almost zero MS symptoms! If anyone can deliver that message to Santa, I’d appreciate it. My #2 request is for Congress and the FDA to speed up and fund additional trials so we can get this drug to market quickly. My 3# request is to make this drug available to friends and family who are experiencing other neurodegenerative conditions, like dementia. The neuroprotective benefits have been proven!
As always, I’m happy to answer any questions on my symptom improvements and clinical trial experience.

  1. Thanks for the update, ! It is always so encouraging to hear from you. How awesome that you are still experiencing so many of the positive effects. It must be lifechanging for you. Fingers crossed that your wishes come true. I hope everyone in the trial is experiencing the same level of benefits or at least enough benefit that the drug proves effective for all. I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! - Lori (Team Member)
